"Jean Mazzei has something audiences will really dig!"  -- Kurt Elling, Blue Note Recording Artist

"... an exceptional jazz vocalist."     Sherry Sly, West Coast Performer Magazine

Whether it's a corporate event, a private party or your special day, there's nothing like the sultry vocals of Jean Mazzei and her live jazz band to make your event extra special. Jean has been singing at weddings at corporate parties in the greater SF Bay area as well as Southern Oregon and Los Angeles/San Diego for over 10 years.

Jean has jammed and studied with some of the great vocalists of our time including Kitty Margolis, Kurt Elling, Madeline Eastman, Kevin Mahogany, and Mark Murphy. In addition to these great teachers, some of her largest influences have been Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, and Peter, Paul and Mary. Her musical debut was at the age of 2 when she mesmerized her parents and their friends with her a cappella rendition of "I Saw Her Standing There." she wrote her first songs at the age of 10, and in the 7th grade she co-wrote and produced a 30 minute musical called "Mayonnaise and Raw Eggs." Currently, Jean is playing with screamin' cats such as Anton Schwartz, Jeff Buenz, John Clark (toured with Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks), as well as Jason Lewis and John Shifflett who toured Boz Scaggs. Everyone is lovin' it and having a great time on gigs.

Feel free to contact Jean to request a current songlist, demo, or references.

"...  We would hire Jean again in a heartbeat."
Nicole Bauer, Human Resources Manager, Clean Environment Equipment

"I wanted to thank you for your outstanding performance at our wedding! We had so much fun, and our guest are still talking about the cool jazz you performed. The process of working with you was the best, very professional, from selecting our favorites and your ability to connect with our guests. You set the atmosphere we had discussed so many months before the event. I'm grateful to say our wedding was a blatant success, and your music was a big part of that.

Our every dream came true ... for our reception that we will never forget. It's been 3 months and our guests from around the country are still talking about  our wedding of a lifetime!  Thanks again for an indelible lifetime musical memory!

Thank you so much for joining us on our special day. Not only did you bring class and fun, but you were a stabilizer and organizer to a day that many think should be crazy and hectic.  Our reception went so smoothly because of your efforts and ability to work so well with the reception coordinators.... AND DON'T FORGET THE BEAUTIFUL MUSIC!!! Our guest commented for weeks after the wedding how nice, smooth, and great sounding you were. We didn't want a "chicken dance" kind of reception, but one that was fun and classic. You gave us that and we are grateful.
